CD Reviews

You’ve done a brilliant job. .

What I like most, being a Romantic at heart, is the intuitive warmth and lyrical shaping you both bring to the melody lines – gorgeous! And there are so many other things to savor. One thing is very clear: with your performance as a model, players who would have put this piece in the ‘not on your life’ basket will now have an excellent model to encourage them to take the plunge.

The variety of selections is FANTASTIC!  Gail and Stacy have a unique blend; Gail’s low register and Stacy’s high register dovetails so seamlessly and their musicianship is superb.

I can’t say enough about the artistry, technical ability and overall musicianship throughout the whole recording. It is just unbelievable to me – what great playing!

“The outstanding thing to me about your CD is your unison sound as a duet. The tuba has a very euph tembre, and the melody switching between the two is seamless. You guys DO play as one. It makes for worry free listening.”

“I heard the CD twice.  It is an excellent example of smart programming, lovely playing (what dulcet sounds!!!) and serious artistic communicaiton.  The Bizet “Temple” duet was splendidly arranged.  KUDOS!!! I found the Schubert very moving and it works beautifully.  Also fine arranging!”
