SymbiosisDuo to Perform at FMEA 2011
The SymbiosisDuo will be featured as guest artists at the Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) First General Session on January 13, 2011 (10:30am) held at the Tampa Convention Center.
Included in the session will be SYMBIOSISDUO, which highlights the artistic achievements of two of the most accomplished musicians in the field of low brass performance and pedagogy.”

Along with Deb Eastwood (cornet/flugelhorn) and Alex Thio (pianist), the SymbiosisDuo will also be in performance at a concert/clinic on January 14 at 1:30-2:30pm at the Tampa Convention Center. The concert program will consist of selections from Gail and Stacy’s CD, SYMBIOSISDUO.

Gail, Stacy, Deb and I spent yesterday afternoon rehearsing at the Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University, hosted by Anthony Simons. Gail and Stacy will be giving a masterclass this afternoon, while Deb and I will join them for a full concert this evening. We had a wonderful time chatting with Anthony Simons, Director of Low Brass at FAMU. We were especially thrilled to listen to the symphonic sounds of their band rehearsing. Talented students, indeed!
